"Ant Farm" is my first release as an artist! I have been writing songs since I first picked up the guitar at the age of 14, when I wrote my first song called "Simple Like a Jelly Bean," and shortly after, a song called "Lovely Lady in the Dark," which is painstakingly still on YouTube if you search for it. To say it's been a long and winding road to get here would be an understatement, but I know 14-year-old Eric would be proud and just as thrilled.

I could not be more excited to have worked with Josh Earls on this release. I am a huge fan of his work, and it felt right working with him as we grew up in the same area.

The song came about after going on a "date" with a gal who had recently converted to Christianity. She explained how she felt about it, and we discussed it philosophically, using an ant farm as a metaphor. Or was it literal? You tell me.
